About Le Chalet de Hermeton

A wooden chalet for couples looking for calm, nature and relaxation, right by the Meuse. Le Chalet de Hermeton is made for romantic weekends and escapes for two in the Belgian Ardennes, in Hermeton-sur-Meuse, close to Dinant. Its 65 m² of wood and light, with nature all around and the water close by, are built around one idea: taking your time together. In the living room, wood walls and a wood ceiling wrap around the leather sofa, with the large glazed doors to the terrace in front of it. The open kitchen, with its island and two stools, is equipped for cooking together, or simply for a coffee looking out at the trees. The bedroom, also in wood, has a large king-size bed. If children are travelling with you, the sofa bed in the living room gives them two extra places. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Outside, the covered, heated terrace leads into a garden that runs down to the Meuse. It is the spot for meals, a good book and watching the water go by, even when the air turns cool. A barbecue and a pétanque court are ready for you. From June to September, the shared electric boat takes you out on the Meuse, with no licence and no extra charge. The electric bikes are ready for exploring the valley.

    This cottage is simply wonderful! Very clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a magnificent view of the Meuse River. We had an unforgettable stay. The owner is extremely welcoming and always available. He gave us a warm welcome and responded quickly to all our requests. We really appreciated the little touches upon our arrival. The boat, which we could use freely, as well as the electric bikes, are a real bonus and make the stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax in a beautiful setting. If we ever return to Hastière, we’ll definitely choose this cottage again!

    Jean-Claude is a very hospitable host. Even before I arrived (thanks to his message beforehand), I already felt very welcome at his place. Beautiful accommodations where, during your stay, you’re allowed to use a small boat and/or electric bikes—and it’s all included in the price. You rarely come across that these days. Jean-Claude is also very available to answer questions or offer help. We’ll definitely keep this place in mind for next time!

    The cottage is spacious enough for two people and fully equipped. The view of the Maas River from the balcony is amazing! Jean-Claude provides you with all the information you need and makes sure your stay is incredibly pleasant. He even provided two electric bikes and a small boat, so exploring the area has never been easier or more fun than at Jean-Claude’s cottage. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Highly recommended!

    Jean-Claude gave us a very warm welcome. The chalet was well-equipped and cozy, with a magnificent view of the Meuse River. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and special mention goes to the electric bikes available for use, the opportunity to take a boat ride, and all the amenities needed to relax in the garden and listen to the birds. It was truly the nature getaway we needed, with so many beautiful things to discover in the surrounding area. We highly recommend it and hope to return soon!

    An absolutely perfect stay. The setting is magical: a terrace right on the Meuse River, with no neighbors across the way, offering incredible peace and quiet. The accommodation is a truly cozy haven, very well-equipped and tastefully decorated. Jean-Claude touched our hearts with all his thoughtful gestures. Communication was easy, friendly, and full of great tips for exploring the region. A peaceful place where you immediately feel at home. We recommend it without hesitation and are already looking forward to returning—perhaps with our family to one of his other accommodations. Thank you again, Jean-Claude. It’s all these lovely touches that make our stay—and our entire trip—so memorable, and that make us want more than anything to stay there or return! See you soon!

    I was looking for a peaceful place at the last minute, near a body of water, and I found this accommodation in a beautiful area near Dinant. It’s very well-appointed, with all the comforts and true tranquility, perfect if you want to recharge without being isolated in the woods! :-) I’ll be back soon. The host has an eye for detail and a warm, welcoming spirit.
